Healix Health Services’ employee assistance programme (EAP) can help you provide your team with the support they need when they need it the most. Nearly two-thirds of people say they’ve experienced a mental health problem before, making this an essential asset for any business.

We value mental health just as highly as we do physical health, and have provisions in place – including a 24/7 helpline and convenient face-to-face counselling – to assist your team however and whenever they need it.

Do I need an employee assistance programme?

Prioritising your team’s mental health is essential in any industry. After all, a healthy workforce is a happy workforce, and a happy employee is more likely to take fewer sick days and apply themselves more effectively at work.

We work alongside Vita Health, one of the UK’s only EAP providers approved to work with the government and public sector bodies, as well as leading companies EDF energy, Johnson & Johnson, and the National Grid, to foster mental wellbeing among its employees. Together, we provide an effective employee assistance programme of support that’s designed to help your employees, and your business, withstand any future challenges. 

Your team will have year-round access to more than 750 BACP-accredited counsellors, who are on hand 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Their session-based support is provided confidentially and remotely, either on the phone or via video conferencing. When face-to-face sessions are needed, your counsellor will be based within 15 miles of you, and your meeting will take place within five working days of your initial assessment. 

Giving managers the help they need to support their team

When it comes to good mental health, there are no quick-wins. However, building a fully-supportive workplace can make sure that help is available, even before your employees need it.

We have mechanisms in place to help support your team leaders, giving them the tools they need to be an effective source of support for their staff. With our EAP, your managers are offered guidance, via a dedicated helpline, on how to deal with a range of common workplace issues, including conflict resolution, having difficult conversations, and managing employee stress, performance and attendance.
