Healix voted ‘Best Healthcare Trust Provider’ for 8th year

For the 8th time in 9 years, Healix Health Services has been recognised by UK health insurance intermediaries as the ‘Best Healthcare Trust Provider’ in the prestigious annual Health Insurance Awards that took place in London on 17th October.

The trophy was presented to Keira Wallis, Head of Clinical Services and Sally Campbell, Head of Clinical Development by the host for the evening, Claudia Winkleman, in front of an audience of about 1,000 health insurance professionals.

A Healthcare Trust is an alternative way of funding healthcare benefits for employees. Instead of paying premiums to an insurance company, the money is placed in a healthcare trust fund which is used to fund claims. They offer many advantages over traditional private medical insurance including greater flexibility in scheme design and the fact that if claims fall below the estimated amount, the funds can be retained instead of being lost as additional profit to an insurer.
