With that in mind, Healix provides for all our healthcare trust members POWR (Positive Occupational & Wellbeing Resources) – an online portal that’s tailored to your business, with tools to support employees to take personal responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.

From identifying problem areas to offering practical advice on how to support them, your wellbeing platform can help your employees to embrace good health and happiness, and the opportunities that come with it.

Why is employee wellbeing important?

Wellbeing isn’t about feeling happy every hour of the day. It’s about building resilience for challenging times, and developing the skills needed to embrace challenging situations with confidence. 

With all of the day-to-day stresses that come with work, as well as our family lives, it’s easy to take our mental and physical wellbeing for granted. Simple actions, such as eating well or taking a country walk, can positively impact the way we feel, and positive people make for better workers. It’s estimated that happy employees are 20% more productive than unhappy workers.

What is an employee wellbeing platform?

An employee wellbeing platform is designed to empower individuals to take charge of their own physical and mental health. It gives you the tools you need to help you manage your overall wellbeing, from wherever you are, and at a time that suits you best.

Being proactive when it comes to our wellbeing is crucial if we want to develop lifelong skills to safeguard our health for all that lies ahead.

How does POWR work?

Developed by highly-qualified clinicians from the fields of medicine and psychology, POWR will help your team to spot areas of their life that they’re performing well in, and importantly, areas which need encouragement or help.

This help comes in the form of personalised behaviour management plans. These are tailored to the members of your team, providing them with practical lessons to improve their wellbeing, including light physical exercise, mindfulness and breathing and reflection tips.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1

First of all, POWR will get to know you as an individual. You will be asked to complete some easy-to-answer questions based on six areas of your life; mind, work, life, sleep, fitness, and nutrition.

Step 2

Your answers will generate an overall wellbeing score, as well as identifying what is going well for you and which areas of life you may need extra support with. Based on your results, POWR will suggest a selection of individualised behaviour management plans for you.

Step 3

As you work through your behaviour management plans, you can continue to focus on other areas in your life, while also being able to look back on your experiences with previous plans. The more you use your employee wellbeing platform, the more it will get to know you and grow in usefulness.
