What should I do after I’m accepted as a partner?

We ask all healthcare professionals and practitioners to register through The Private Practice Register, an online registration system powered by Healthcode, to ensure your details within our network are accurate and up to date. This will keep things simple for everyone and allow us to handle your invoices and queries more efficiently, saving time and money for your practice and our business.

If you are a clinic or a facility you will need to complete a registration form and return it to us for review.

When you log in to The Private Practice Register for the first time, you will be asked to provide details, including:

  • Your regulatory body number.
  • Where you practice.
  • Your specialty.
  • Correspondence address.
  • Contact details.
  • Practice hours.

Once you have completed your registration, we will process your request and you will be notified once the review is complete.

Please note, we are currently not registering therapists onto our system unless you are actively treating or will soon be treating a Healix member.

Individual practitioners will also need to confirm whether or not you adhere to our Schedule of Fees. If you do not agree to our fees, Healix will settle payments up to our reasonable and customary rates, and any remaining shortfall should be requested from the patient directly.

If you are already a recognised healthcare professional within our network, your profile will remain active on our system. If you need to update any information or personal details, you will need to do this via The Private Practice Register.

How much will you reimburse for procedures?

For healthcare professionals, Healix Health Services operates via a schedule of procedures and fees which contains codes and professional fees for procedures based on work undertaken by the Clinical Coding and Schedule Development group (CCSD). Healix Health Services fee schedule   Our fees are set individually and are constantly reviewed and updated, so check the schedule regularly to take into account any changes. Bear in mind that the inclusion of a code in our fee schedule does not necessarily mean that it’s eligible for cover. Therefore it’s a good idea to remind your patients to contact Healix in advance of undertaking any treatment to seek pre-authorisation.

Where should I send my invoices?

To give you more control over how you’re reimbursed, we use electronic billing to streamline invoicing.

How it works is simple: when you create an account on The Private Practice Register, you’ll receive access to the ePractice biller provided by Healthcode. You’ll then be able to submit your invoice electronically via Healthcode’s easy-to-use online portal. For help with this, you can email Healthcode directly.

What information should I include on the invoice?

The treatment that you are providing must have been pre-authorised by Healix. It’s vital that full treatment details are included on the invoice to avoid any delays with you being paid.

Here’s a checklist of what you should include:

  • Provider name and address.
  • Member name.
  • Member date of birth.
  • Invoice number.
  • Invoice date.
  • Treatment type and CCSD codes.
  • Authorisation number.
  • Claim number.
  • Policy/member number.
  • Number of units.
  • Treatment date.
  • Discharge date.
  • Treatment cost.
